The Cast of Thor: Ragnarok Just Keeps Growing

We recently reported that Thor: Ragnarok was going to be taking a trip to Planet Hulk. Apparently everyone’s favorite big, green bad ass isn’t the only Marvel hero we’ll be seeing in the upcoming film. In a recent release of D23’s newsletter, they touched on the films Disney has coming up. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 was addressed first, but then we move on to the bigger news.

“If you need even more intergalactic, world-saving action, Thor: Ragnarok in November brings together Thor, the Hulk, and Doctor Strange to face off against intergalactic baddies both familiar and new.”

That’s right folks, the Sorcerer Supreme himself, Doctor Strange, will be in the upcoming Thor movie! Many have speculated before now that he would be making a cameo in the film anyway, but now it seems that the rumors were true all along. We still don’t know what his role in the film will be, but it’s safe to assume that it will be bigger than a one scene cameo with his inclusion in the D23 newsletter.

Thor: Ragnarok will see the return of many of the cast members from the original films. Tom Hiddleston is returning as Loki. We’re also seeing the returns of Idris Elba, Anthony Hopkins, Cate Blanchett, Tessa Thompson, Jeff Goldblum, Karl Urban and Mark Ruffalo as The Incredible Hulk.

What do you geeks think of the news? What kind of role do you hope Benedict Cumberbatch/Doctor Strange plays in Thor: Ragnarok? There’s a lot of potential for this to be the best Thor movie to date, especially with them going to Planet Hulk. We’d love to hear what you guys think about the news, so join in on the conversation in the comments below and tell us what you think!
