After two very successful seasons on streaming service Netflix, fans are already clamoring for a third season of Daredevil. Unfortunately, it looks like all of us have to wait a bit longer than we at first anticipated.
The buzz is so high for the blind hero from Hell’s Kitchen that a third season on Netflix was more than a given. Not only that but he’s also going to star alongside the other New York misfits; Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Danny Rand aka Iron Fist, in the Defenders series. That is to start filming shortly with a back to back filming of season numero two of Jessica Jones.
Just that alone makes it difficult to get star Charlie Cox in front of the camera for another Daredevil. What makes it even tougher is the shows share showrunners and even series creator Drew Goddard. Those folks can only do so much and be in so many places at once.
Does that mean we won’t see a new Daredevil? Well no. Neither Marvel nor Netflix are giving up on their golden child. They’re made a commitment to a Marvel/Netflix show every six months showing up. We’ll get ole Hornhead for sure in the Defenders and come on, you know you want to see that. But he will be back in his own series as well.
Alrighty then geeks, with that out of the way, what say you? Is it disappointing or are you ok with Matt showing up just in the ensemble piece for now? Personally, I’m ok with it. As always, we have the handy dandy comments section for you to cry or laugh in. Your choice.
