No, your eyes do not deceive you! Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition has been announced for release next week. Is this good news or bad news for Final Fantasy fans?
Recreated with cute Chibi style characters instead of the beautiful console version, it is not a watered-down version of the game and features the familiar gameplay and battle style. There are a few other changes: the game has simpler touch controls, better adjusted to the mobile form factor, and it is now a top-down game.
Check out the latest trailer below.
The game is available for pre-order from the Apple App Store and compatible with iPhones 6s and onwards and also on the more recent iPads.
Andriod users can also pre-order from the Google Play Store and the recommended minimum CPU specs require a device that can run at 1.5GHz or greater and you will also need at least 2GB of RAM. So clear some room.
The storage required is stated to be a whopping 5GB, and 8GB is needed if you want to play in high-res.
So What’s the Catch?
Although the game will be free to download there are additional costs if you want to proceed past the first chapter. You can either pay $19.99 upfront for all 10 chapters or if you like to spread the cost, you can buy a chapter at a time between $0.99 and $3.99.
Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition will be released February 9, 2018.
Can this pocket edition be the best thing since Candy Crush? Are you excited to play on the go? I know I am! Feel free to let us know your thoughts in the comments.
