Marvel Studios took to New York Comic-Con for their annual panel of their television shows and that of course included the upcoming Iron Fist, which got an official release date just recently. That seemed well and good so they went ahead and unveiled the first teaser trailer for the final series before The Defenders next year. Take a look for yourself below!
We finally get our first real look at The Living Weapon himself since that very brief teaser back from this year’s San Diego Comic-Con International and this one will certainly give fans plenty to think about.
Not only do we see Danny’s fist shine brightly, but the trailer does end with the iconic Iron Fist symbol across the chest of series star Finn Jones. Not to mention plenty of martial arts action as well. There was even a brief shot of Madame Gao from Daredevil, no doubt deepening the connection between both shows since season 1 of Daredevil featured a hint towards Iron Fist villain, Steel Serpent.
Colleen Wing, longtime ally of Danny and played by Jessica Henwick, pops up in the trailer and even gets to show off a few of her own fighting skills. Brief glimpses are also shown of the Meachum family, father Harold (David Wenham) in the comics being the one responsible for the death of Wendell Rand, Danny’s father. From all appearances and character descriptions they appear to be the antagonists for the season, but we will see come March.
The series will also star Jessica Stroup, Tom Pelphrey, Rosario Dawson, and Carrie-Ann Moss, reprising her role of Jeri Hogarth from Jessica Jones, who is often associated with Iron Fist in the comics.
