Blumhouse, the legendary horror movie production company, will be making a movie to drive gamers wild. The famous horror game series, Five Nights at Freddy’s, will make its debut in theaters within the next few years. As of yet, the actual release date has not been set in stone. However, with Spooky Jack, their first animated film announced for 2021, we can assume that it will be released either at that time or shortly after.

Is “Five Nights at Freddy’s” in Good Hands?

No information has been discovered so far regarding the future cast for the show, or whether the creatures will be CGI or actual physical props and suits. One thing is for sure: Jason Blum says he loves the idea of working on the movie. With an accomplished team behind him, including writer and actor Tyler Burton Smith (Quantum Break and Sleeping Dogs) and the creator of the games himself, Scott Cawthon, this is likely to be a huge success.

What About Warner Bros?

Warner Brothers was the original team that had purchased rights to the production of the horror film. However, they gave up attempting to make the film a reality in January 2017. Blumhouse picked up the project two months later and immediately asked Scott for assistance.

Warner Bros. has made plenty of chilling horror movies in the past, but could not quite grasp the true essence of the games. This is likely because they didn’t collaborate with Scott Cawthon, like Blumhouse is now. One question that is on many fans’ minds is the overall scare factor of the upcoming film. Will it truly have the frightening jumpscare scenes that the games were so famous for?

What do you guys think? Will the Blumhouse team be able to pull off a truly scary Five Nights at Freddy’s movie? Can they pull off what Warner couldn’t and keep the fandom hype going? Leave us a comment on your thoughts!
