“Help Me Catch Them All,” (as in Gotta Catch ‘Em All Pokémon tagline) has been the tagline for Alicia Thomas, a tattooist at the Boston Tattoo Company in Somerville, Massachusetts. Thomas grew up with the Pokémon obsession like most 90s kids, and still holds it close to her geeky heart. So much so, that she decided to catch-all 151 original Pokémon tattoos.
Thus far she has managed to catch most of the original Pokémon thanks to social media and word of mouth. As of last week, according to her Instagram post, she has about 20-30 Pokémon left to catch.
While Thomas does not have a Pokémon tattoo yet, she plans on getting Bulbasaur (her favorite) with a Poké Ball after she completes her goal. Her Pokémon tattoo will signify the completion of her project. After that, Thomas plans on hosting a Pokémon after party for all 151 Pokémon tattoos. Everyone can meet up with whoever has their evolution tattooed on themselves. How epic would that be?!
If you want one, you better hurry and check out which ones are left! She is only tattooing each of them once! (Thomas did say she would tattoo them again, but she will not count them towards her ‘Catch ‘Em All’ Project.)
Thomas, a printmaker by school trade, has been tattooing since 2014 and has made some pretty wicked prints as well as tattoos. You can check her work out here and follow her on Instagram.
