The Hardys Could Be Heading Back to the WWE in Time for WrestleMania

written by Jordan Cobb February 28, 2017

It cannot be denied that Broken Matt Hardy and his obsolete brother Jeff are the hottest things in all of professional wrestling right now. The Broken Universe over at Impact Wrestling has truly taking the industry by storm and its won over many fans and supporters, including some that weren’t so hot on it at first, such as myself.

Currently holding the Impact Wrestling Tag Team Championship and several other tag titles on their Expedition of Gold across several promotions, its been rumored for sometime that Matt and Jeff might soon make it back to where they first flourished and that of course would be WWE. Their contracts with Impact are coming up soon and its been reported by respected wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer that they might finish out their contracts with Impact to make a return to WWE in time for WrestleMania 33 this April.

Of course there is plenty of time for new deals to be made and of course the Hardys could always re-sign with Impact, but the timing is pretty good considering that Matt and Jeff are set to face off against the other hottest tag team today, The Young Bucks at Ring of Honor’s Supercard of Honor XI, which just so happens to take place in Lakeland, Florida on the day before WrestleMania takes place in Orlando, FL.

Nothing is of course set in stone right now, but the jump back to the WWE would be a big deal since many view Broken Matt and Jeff as a key factor in holding up Impact Wrestling during a very difficult business year for them in 2016. Though right now would be the best time for them to head back over since they are getting up there in their 40s and they could possibly sign with a Legends contract. Though there are those that fear if they head back over to the land that Vince McMahon built, they might not have the same time of creative freedom that they have in Impact.

We here at Don’t Hate the Geek will keep you updated on the situation, but in the meantime, what are your thoughts on this? Would you like to see the Hardys back in WWE or remain in Impact? Let us know in the comments below!
