Animated Harley Quinn from Batman Animated Series

Hey there Puddin’! Everybody’s favorite Queen of Crime is receiving her own animated original series. As most people know, Harley Quinn started as the Joker’s goofy sidekick in Batman: The Animated Series and from there she completely blossomed. She’s evolved from the Joker’s paramour to her own fully developed and widely loved character.

Now, she’s coming back to the small screen.

The 26-episode adult episode series will join a host of other shows coming to DC’s upcoming digital streaming service. The live action Titans and animated Young Justice: Outsiders will also be joining the new station. Justin Halpern, Patrick Schumacker, and Dean Lorey, the amazing minds behind Powerless, are saddled to write and executive produce the project. The project is still very green so animation style may differ from the development art. However, the plot will center around Harley’s current role from the comics. Currently, she’s broken away from the Joker’s vile hold and navigating Gotham’s underworld with Poison Ivy in tow. Don’t we all love some Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy ships? There’s a ton of characters in this image. Any number of favorite or little-known DC characters might be featured, but there’s no confirmation yet on who. Wanna play who’s that hero or villain DC edition?

New Harley Quinn Animated Series However, not too much else is known about the upcoming series. But if anyone can kill (probably with the biggest hammer she can find) in animation, it’s Harley. It’s quite interesting that the animated series is more adult oriented. Hence, it may cater to more mature situations. We do love to see Harl’s and team go a bit psycho sometimes. After all… They’re bad guys; it’s what they do.

How do you feel about the new animated series? Excited to see more or kinda over the Harley hype? Drop it in the comments!
