Hellboy Reboot finds Blood Queen in Milla Jovovich

written by Jordan Cobb August 9, 2017

The Neil Marshall led reboot of Hellboy is starting to take shape now that Ian McShane was announced to play Professor Broom, the adoptive father to our titular Hellboy, now played by Chief Hopper himself, David Harbour. Now a new actor has been cast and its a crucial one.

Named, Hellboy: Rise of the Blood Queen, the titular villain is being played by none other than Milla Jovovich.

Jovovich as many will know is no stranger to the genre world from memorable roles such as Leeloo from The Fifth Element and of course Alice from the Resident Evil film series, also proving she won’t be afraid to throw down when going toe-to-toe with our favorite cigar smoking creature.

As of right now the film is getting a new draft on its script from Andrew Crosby based off the screenplay by Christopher Golden, Aron Coleite, and Hellboy creator Mike Mignola.

The reboot might not be the third installment from Ron Perlman and Guillermo del Toro many fans of the character and moviegoers wanted, but with top notch talent such as these attached, it’ll certainly give Rise of the Blood Queen some good eyes on it.

What do you think of the project? Who else do you wanna see in it and whom should they play? What is your favorite Hellboy story? Let us know in the comments below!
