Back by popular demand, the most resilient Nokia phone of all time set to release at Mobile World Congress this month.
The subject of countless memes, the Nokia 3310, is set to re-release this month, according to VentureBeat’s Evan Blass. It is being marketed as a second phone with incredible battery life and near indestructible nature. It will only cost around $62, a price that loyal fans will be all too willing to pay.
After struggling in the smartphone market, Nokia’s new focus will be reliability and affordability. Current distribution plans for the 3310 are set to target Europe with North America being unknown, for the moment. More details will likely be available after the launch in Barcelona on February 26.
Those with a lifelong passion for the game snake will be sure to enjoy playing it in its original format. Beyond the mere novelty of nostalgia, those in need of a reliable back up phone could really benefit from this affordable option.
Other Nokia phones to be released will include the already announced Nokia 6, Nokia 5, and Nokia 3. These android phones will provide 3 different price points and the specs will lower accordingly. The name of the game here is obviously affordability.
What do you think fellow geeks? Is this a part of the past worth digging back up? Are you still harboring your original 3310 under your bed? Let us know in the comments!
