Sad news for gamers looking forward to Horizon New Dawn this year because the team behind the PlayStation 4 exclusive just announced that the game will be delayed until February 2017. With E3 later on this month, Guerrilla Games managing director Hermen Hulst took to Sony’s site to address the rumors head on before the big conference.
“It wasn’t an easy choice to make; we know many of you have been anxious to play the game since we first announced it. However, we also want to ensure that Horizon Zero Dawn lives up to the visuals and gameplay quality that our games are known for. The new date affords us the extra time required to deliver fully on our ambitious vision for Horizon Zero Dawn.”
In the wise words of Nintendo’s Shigeru Miyamoto “A delayed game is eventually good, but a rushed game is forever bad.” Although the delay is not the news fans were hoping for, it is nice to see the care and time put in to make these titles match up to the quality promised.
