Hulu drops record breaking $192 million to keep South Park running all the way through 2019

Hulu just went strong on Comedy Central’s major hit South Park. Love it or hate it the show is a monster in its own right and Hulu is willing to keep its fans on its network and is showing the wallet to prove it. Dropping $192 million tops Hulu’s last largest purchase of Seinfeld at $160 million. As a huge fan of Hulu, South Park is always in my top recent watched shows so this makes me extremely happy. In a recent interview with IGN, Matt Stone summed it up with this…

“We won’t stop until we get canceled.”

To match this purchase from Hulu Comedy Central has announced that they have ordered the show renewed all the way until the 2019 mark. That will put the show over the 300 episode mark and will give it some records of its own like officially becoming the longest-running scripted prime-time series on cable, animated or otherwise.

How many of the episode have you seen and what’s your favorite one? Let us know in the comments below.
