For those that remember running your memory card-less console all night or know what channel 3 is, Sony is releasing all 4 classic Jak games on PlayStation 4 along with a PS2 Legacy Dashboard theme.

The bundle will include Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy, Jak 2, Jak 3 and Jak X: Combat Racing. They will cost $40 or $14.99 separately, featuring trophy support, 1080p resolution, and Share/Remote Play functionality.

This is the first time ever Jak X has been re-released. For that one person asking “where’s The Lost Frontier?” look no further than the nearest landfill since these are only the main entries.

The first three titles follow Jak and Daxter from their village to the future and an unforgiving desert. Mysteries, strange creatures, and characters will be encountered on their journey.

Jak X is a car-combat racer that is harder than a pizza left out days. It’s anything but stale though; exciting map design and fun weapons bring a lot of replayability.

The Past Is Now

This series was the next set of games Naughty Dog worked on after Crash Bandicoot on PS1 and before Uncharted on PS3. This is especially relevant due to sets of their big titles remastered on PS4 with the N-Sane Trilogy and Uncharted Collection.

The theme is a wave of nostalgia with the ps2 startup tune and background in full effect. I almost expect a blue disc to pop out the trey with scratches that look like Wolverine fondled it.

Jak 4 was in the early stages of development before Naughty Dog scrapped it to focus small title called The Last of Us, which went on to win over 240 awards.

The company has made games for over 30 years and their next highly anticipated title The Last of Us Part II doesn’t have a release date yet but is scheduled to be at PSX next weekend.

The Jak games and the PS2 dynamic theme will be available Dec.6 for old and new players to experience why millions cleared store shelves of copies.
