Jessica and Kilgrave

Everyone’s favorite problematic superpowered private-eye is coming back and here is the first full look into the second season of Jessica Jones! Look for yourself below!

To say there is a lot Jessica has to unpack this year would be a massive understatement. The whole plot of the season revolves around how Jessica gained her powers after that car accident that killed her family. There also appears to be a serial killer on the loose, but could they be connected? We’ll find out when all episodes are released on March 8. Certainly interested in that one guy who wants to buy out Alias Investigations.

I cannot wait for the return of one of Marvel’s most fascinating characters. What I love most is that we’ll soon dive deeper into the mind of our titular hero and what makes her really tick and maybe she will finally find some closure in her life. Or a new bottle of whiskey. Krysten Ritter is a pitch-perfect actor to play the role as she just really embodies the attitude and personality that Brian Michael Bendis created.

What certainly stands out is the little tease at the end of a certain purple-clad that was played by David Tennant in season one. It certainly does seem to confirm that Kilgrave will indeed be back via hallucination given well you know, kinda has a broken neck via ole Jessica. Which is fine by me as Tennant was simply incredible as the mind-controlling villain. Plus, his chemistry with Ritter was top notch. Rejoice fans, we get to see more of Kilgrave!

Wherever Jessica goes, trouble is not too far behind and I think the same can certainly be said about who all is in her life from Trish to Malcolm to Jeri. Here’s hoping things might calm down soon for them. Well, maybe just temper a bit.

What did you think of the trailer? What are you most excited about for the new season? Let us know in the comments!
