Walmart now offers a price match on deals you can find on Amazon. That’s right geeks! Even if you have a Prime Membership, you can hop into your car and head down to your local Walmart and get the same price for your stuff as you would on Amazon. Although, most Walmarts were already offering that deal, it is now officially a policy for all the Walmart locations in the US — just in time for the holiday shopping.
Last year, Walmart had the plan to match competitor Black Friday prices a week early. This was to give them a leg up on the competition brewing during the craziest time of the year. It’s kind of a wonder that Walmart didn’t do this sooner because we see other stores already price matching online competitors such as Best Buy and Fry’s. Online competitors have the advantage of zero crowds on Black Friday (unless people crowd their server), but if you’re like me, you’ll just wait for Cyber Monday to roll around the week following Black Friday to avoid the crowds.
What do you think geeks? Do you have Amazon Prime and if so, do you think this will have an effect on your online shopping? What kinds of good deals are you looking forward to this season? Let us know in the comments below!
