News of the much-speculated deleted Superman scene from Justice League has surfaced online ahead of the film’s release on Digital HD.
The deleted scene is thought to be the brainchild of Zack Snyder before he bowed out and made way for Joss Whedon. Who wants to see a sneak-peak?
After Superman (Henry Cavill) has been resurrected, he goes back to the Kryptonian ship and gets his suit. Among the outfits on the ship, we see a glimpse of a black suit. One other part of the deleted scene we see a hint of another suit, this one very different to what the Man of Steel normally wears. Instead of the form-fitting suit, you’d expect from the superhero, the other costume is metallic and looks like some kind of spacesuit.
Rumor has it, Cavill shot scenes in the black Superman suit and then it was later cut from the movie. The actor once teased the outfit on Instagram:
In addition to Cavill, the film stars Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, and the return of Jeremy Irons as Alfred.
Unfortunately, Justice League opened below the studio’s expectations, at $96 million and was seen as underwhelming by nearly everyone.
It turns out that the deleted scene that will be added to the home video release, will be of a disappointing length and will only add an additional 1 minute and 52 seconds to the film. But still worth it surely?
Justice League is to be released by Warner Bros. on digital home video next week on February 13 with a Blu-Ray edition coming March 13.
Would you like to see this new suit in future films? Which one would look better with Cavill’s mustache? Please let us know your thoughts/feelings on this topic in the comments!
