After teasing us for a while with that insanely speedy teaser last week, we finally get a full-length trailer for the sequel to 2014’s Kingsman: The Secret Service and it’s full of the good stuff. Check out the trailer below!
They also released an international Red Band trailer that is a little NSFW because of the naughty swears.
Glorious. It’s Bond on steroids and I love it! Set to the soundtrack of Frank Sinatra’s My Way, we find our beloved Eggsy in a spot of bother as the Kingsman organisation is brought down to its literal foundations as the world is held hostage. We’ll see Eggsy, Merlin and company hop across the pond to the U.S. to seek help from Agent Tequila (Channing Tatum) and Agent Champagne (Jeff Bridges), members of The Statesman. Yep, you’ve guessed it, they’re the Yankee version of the Kingsman! They’ll work together to bring down the folk keeping the world hostage which sounds like no easy task. It’s a pretty big place I hear…
Matthew Vaughn will undoubtedly be bringing back his own unique flare for huge explosions and high-octane hijinks with some cursing thrown in for good measure. For more than a decade now, Vaughn been racking up some serious director credits by helming the first Kingsman flick, Kick-Ass, X-Men: First Class and the hugely underrated Layer Cake starring Michael Gambon (who makes a sneaky appearance 30 seconds into this new trailer). He plays the baddie really well and I’m secretly hoping he’s on the wrong side of helpful for this one. And is Colin Firth’s Harry Hart truly back from the dead? A bullet to the head sure seems permanent enough, doesn’t it? We’ll just have to wait and see.
Kingsman: The Golden Circle opens September 22nd starring Taron Egerton, Mark Snow, Pedro Pascal, Channing Tatum, Halle Berry, Julianne Moore and Jeff Bridges.
