Dave Green’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows is quickly gaining hype as three recently revealed TV spots come to light. Out of the three spots shown, Krang, an alien nemesis, appears in two of them. For fans of the brain-like enemy from the cartoons as well as the games will be stoked because he looks just as creepy and annoying as ever.

The Ninja Turtles come into conflict with T.C.R.I scientist Dr. Baxter Stockman with the association of the Foot Clan and the return of Shredder, who has hired Stockman to create mutants of their own in the form of Bebop and Rocksteady and an unknown invasion above New York City. To prevent the end of the world, the turtles and their human friends April O’Neil and Vern Fenwick comes to the aid with vigilante Casey Jones.

With the recently revealed footage of the sequel, it seems that I am not alone in seeing some more familiar faces from the past. With the inclusion of Krang and other characters from the cartoon, this could mean a very successful project by Michael Bay if done right. It appears that Bay and his team are really fighting to achieve that nostalgia feel by heavily relying upon themes and other aspects of the cartoon series that many of us grew up watching. It’s great news as well because this also means that producers were listening to the grumblings of fans world-wide with the disappointing release of the first film. Keep it true to the series and the fans will have your back.

It looks like most of the full cast will be returning with Noel Fisher, Pete Ploszek, Alan Ritchson, and Jeremy Howard resuming their roles as the turtles. Johnny Knoxville will also be lending his voice to the character Leonardo once more. Will Arnett, Megan Fox, and William Fichtner are also returning alongside some fresh faces such as WWE SuperStar Sheamus as Rocksteady, Gary Anthony Williams as Bebop, Stephen Amell as Casey Jones, and Brian Tee as the infamous Shredder.

Get your pizza ready because the sequel is hitting theatres June 3rd. Cowabunga!
