My Little Pony: The Movie has been scoring some really great voice talent! Liev Schreiber and Taye Diggs are set join the magical band of ponies, though who they’ll be voicing is set to be announced. Emily Blunt, and Kristin Chenoweth are also involved in the film.
The movie will be based on the wildly successful television show My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. A huge fan following has come from the reboot of the original 80’s show, and toy-line. Friendship is Magic has reached a large adult audience, as well as children. The show follows six vastly different colorful ponies through their many trials and adventures, along with the help of a large supporting cast of pony friends. The ponies teach valuable life lessons in each episode that usually focus on friendship, teamwork and determination.
Though the plot has yet to be released, we do know the film is scheduled to be released October 6, 2017. I’m not going to lie to you geek, I love My Little Pony. It’s funny, entertaining and it’s something lighthearted and innocent in a time where all I see sadness and heavy stuff on the news everyday. It’s a nice little escape from reality for awhile, and my son enjoys watching it with me! So let’s be honest, how many MLP fans do we have here our geeky community?
