If you are like me, you grew up on the kooky adventures of Ms. Frizzle and her class on The Magic School Bus. Netflix has now revealed the first trailer for their new animated series, The Magic School Bus Rides Again! Let’s hop on board! There’s a massive demand for content that kids can watch when they’re home from school that is both entertaining and educational. This is why there are so many great videos on YouTube and why fellow video streaming giants Netflix and Amazon Prime are releasing more and more kids series. In this latest reboot, Netflix is trying to take advantage of the nostalgia that many parents will feel when it’s released.

Bus, do your stuff! The kids are back at Walkerville School for another school year of astonishing, out-of-this-world field trips in this all-new reimagining of the iconic science-comedy-adventure series The Magic School Bus™.

Ms. Frizzle’s kid sister Fiona takes the wheel at Walkerville Elementary, leading the class on wild adventures packed with science-fueled fun.

Now-Professor Frizzle has passed the torch (or keys) to her younger sister, Ms. Frizzle. This fresh face that is still familiar allows a new generation of kids to learn in this unique way. Kate McKinnon is now in the driver seat, with Lily Tomlin reprising her role as the Frizz from the classic TV series. Also, Lin-Manuel Miranda provides the new theme song!

The Magic School Bus is far from the boring lessons that children might be used to in school. It is a fun way to learn about science while traveling across the universe and inside the human body. If the original show is any indication, the new Netflix series will have no shortage of hijinks. Even so, kids can expect to learn a thing or two while laughing hysterically.

I would not be surprised to see a new wave of merchandise to go along with the new show. Books and video games accompanied the original, and Netflix and Scholastic would be smart to capitalize on the Bus’ popularity and name recognition. Can you count how many backpacks Wal-Mart could sell this school year? Because I personally cannot count that high.

So, if you’re a child at heart, would you stream an episode or two of The Magic School Bus Rides Again? Also, if you are a parent, would you throw it on the iPad for your kids? Let us know what you think of this reboot!
