After the leak of Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron trailer, we couldn’t help but wonder what kind of legal action Marvel would take.  Marvel handled the leak with Tony Stark class, acknowledging it with a tweet.

The trailer was set to debut during the following week’s episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., however, it still made its way onto the internet.  Oh internet, there you go again causing trouble!  Marvel soon released the official version which was in better quality, but that didn’t mean it didn’t hurt Marvel in any way.

On Tuesday, Marvel requested a subpoena against Google in order for them to obtain information on the individual who leaked the trailer and since then, the subpoena was admitted.

A user by the name of “John Gazelle” is speculated to have uploaded the trailer to Google Drive and leaked it.  Marvel has requested for all of the information associated with the user including IP addresses of where the upload was leaked along with any IP addresses linked to the user’s Google+ and YouTube accounts.

Google will have to be present in court on November 18th with the information Marvel requested because of the subpoena.

What do you think geeks?  Do you think Marvel should be taking legal action or are they overreacting?  HULK SMASH!  Do you think the leak brought more press for the movie or do you think it will have a hindrance on its success?  Let us know in the comments below!
