Fox might be keen on doing another Fantastic Four film but that’s not stopping Michael B. Jordan from dipping his toe into the waters of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
In addition to news of Lupita Nyong’o rumored to be joining the cast of Marvel’s Black Panther, Jordan will be joining as well in an unclear role, but word is he’s possibly a villain. Black Panther makes this movie number three for him working with co-writer/director Ryan Coogler. First being indie drama and Sundance 2013 hit, Fruitvale Station, and last fall’s critically acclaimed, Creed.
This news comes right off the heels of Fox saying they are possibly going ahead with a sequel to their attempt at the Fantastic Four franchise from last year, but what does this mean for Jordan and the sequel? Is he staying committed to his previous role of Johnny Storm/The Human Torch or will there need to be a recast? No certain announcement has been made at this time on the subject.
Jordan will be in good company since Captain America himself, Chris Evans, played the Human Torch long before jumping into the MCU back in the Tim Story Fantastic Four series. His inclusion should make people even more excited after the positive reception to Black Panther and Chadwick Boseman’s performance in Captain America: Civil War recently.

Black Panther opens February 16, 2018.
