Hours after the debut on Netflix, the announcement came that Castlevania season two is happening.

Based on the popular Konami video game, the Castlevania animation follows the disgraced Belmont family as they try to rid the world of Dracula. While the first season is only four episodes long, season two is doubling that. Even though people are enjoying the show, many are not happy about the length of season one. Netflix seems to be listening to viewers by giving eight episodes for season two.

While Castlevania isn’t the first video game to anime adaptation, it seems to be a popular one. It also seems like it won’t be alone. An Assassin’s Creed anime is in the works as well from Adi Shankar. Shankar is responsible for the Castlevania anime, so we should be in for a treat. No word on when it will debut just yet. Hopefully we will see more video game to anime shows coming soon should these two continue to do well.

Sounds off, geeks! Did you enjoy season one of Castlevania? Are you excited for season two? Let us know in the comments.
