One of the most interesting panels for this year’s San Diego Comic-Con International is the one for Starz with its first taste of the upcoming American Gods adaptation, but also what to expect from season 2 of Ash vs Evil Dead.
Naturally of course the plan was in addition to the panel, autograph signing, and even having the famed cabin from the franchise set up at Petco Park, they’d wanna show the trailer to all the fans. Well that’s not happening. San Diego Comic-Con has banned the trailer from being shown at the mega convention. Wanna know why? See it forever yourself down below!
Now that is a lot of bloody limbs!
With the number of families that do attend the show, that’s understandable why Comic-Con wouldn’t want the trailer shown there, but upside, you get to see the trailer from your nice air conditioned home. A screening for the season premiere is scheduled at SDCC, but late night on Saturday so rest easy parents going this year.
Beyond that news, we do now have an official first look at the brand new season and hints as to what the story is. Of course Ash’s ideal life in Jacksonville, Florida was not going to last long and the ramifications from the season 1 finale are coming out in tenfold. Even more intriguing is how we might get to know more about the chainsaw wielder himself with his hometown of Elk Grove seemingly becoming the new nexus of evil. Lee Majors and Ted Raimi have signed on to play Brock Williams, Ash’s father, and Chet, Ash’s childhood friend, respectively. Michelle Hurd joins the madness as Lee, Ash’s former high school sweetheart. Add all that and an uneasy alliance with Ruby herself, this season is going to get pretty crazy, pretty fast. Pablo and Kelly of course are still along for the bloody ride.
