2K Games is bringing their A-game this year to the 2016 E3 press conference. Earlier today, the company released a new video showcasing Mafia III’s “criminal ecology”, and how to fight crime.
In the video above Denby Grace, Executive Producer, explains the criminal brackets that can be seen in the latest title from the franchise. He discusses the main narrative that drives the overall open world experience. Different objectives mean something different to each individual player.
The video showcases the fire fight action, stealth, and new locations that can be explored in the third installment. Matthias Worch, Design Director, had this to say:
“We’ve put a lot of work into actually modeling the way the Mafia operates and how it kind of seeps into the foundations of a city.”
He discusses how the ‘head bosses’ run their business: the fronts, the business behind the business, and how taking these huge brackets impacts the game as a whole. What the player chooses to leave alone or chooses to “take out” will greatly impact that player’s storyline giving it a unique and tailored experience that is likely to increase replayability.
Mafia III is set to drop October 7th for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. You can check out a few other E3 related news items here:
