Smite just received a new update for the Playstation 4 and Xbox One this week introducing a new character, an option for smoother game-play, new achievements, and more.
The newest update, 3.5, will arrive on PS4 systems on April 12th and is already out for the Xbox One. With the latest patch, Skadi, the goddess of winter, makes her grand appearance and she is spectacular. Her passive sees her come to battle with a wolf at her flank. She also has two abilities in particular which are worth noting: she can toggle between having Kaldr, her wolf, attack or he can enter a form that allows him to be immune to attacks while regenerating his health. You can see her official unveiling video at the top of the article.
The latest update isn’t just about Skadi, it also introduces a new option that gives the player the ability to play the game at 60 frames per second. This feature is easy to enable, just go to the Options menu and turn on the “Enable Upcoming Features” setting.
Changes to items, god balancing, and a new list of achievements are also a few ways that Hi-Rez Studios upgraded game time in the 3.5 patch update. For example, Hercules gets a notable buff to his movement speed as well as his attack damage. Serqet also gets buffed with Deathbane receiving a cooldown reduction and Cobra’s Kiss becoming even stronger.
The latest update also provides some new skins including the K-9 Anubis featured above and Ordo Solarus Amaterasu featured below:
