New ‘Thor: Ragnarok” trailer released at SDCC

written by Alex Lopez July 23, 2017

Folks, we are getting closer to Ragnarok. And no, I don’t mean the literal end of the world. I am talking about Thor: Ragnarok. We have a new trailer out now and it is amazing. Take a look below.

I, for one, cannot wait till November. The Thor movies have gone through some changes over the course of the years. What started as a Shakespearean journey has now come to an 80’s style space buddy movie. And to me, that could make Thor: Ragnarok the best Thor movie of them all. From the outrageous colors to the humor, Thor: Ragnarok makes the end of the world seem fun. Let’s take a look at what we can look forward to this fall.

Death comes to Asgard

In the trailer we finally get a few more scenes with Hela, the goddess of Death. Now it is rumored that Hela will be the love interest for Thanos in Infinity War, but there is nothing solid on that. In the meantime, we see Hela laying waste to Asgard as she brings Ragnarok with her. And of course, it is up to Thor and his team to bring her down. Cate Blanchett is a great choice for the role of Hela. If she is as good as what we see in the trailer, I can only hope that she appears in Infinity War. Oh, and remember that team I mentioned…

Meet the team

Thor’s mission is to stop Hela and Ragnarok. But he knows he can’t do it alone. After his battle with Hulk, the two set off to assemble a team to stop Hela. That team consists of Valkyrie and none other than the trickster himself, Loki. We have seen Thor work with both Loki and Hulk in the past, but Valkyrie is someone we have not seen yet. It will be interesting to see how the four of them work together to stop the end of the world.

Hulk Speak!

We finally get to hear Hulk speak! At the end of the trailer, we see Thor and Hulk having a conversation with each other. It is only for a short time, but it looks like the MCU Hulk is finally given a voice. Considering that Hulk will be a major part of the movie, it is a relief that he will be able to speak and not just make grunting noises all movie long.

Thor: Ragnarok comes to theaters on November 3, 2017.
