Nintendo Unveils the Labo, Their Addition to the Switch

written by Jordan Cobb January 18, 2018

Whenever you think video games, Nintendo is instantly going to come to mind be it Zelda, Mario, or whatever else, they are gonna come to mind.

The latest invention from the gaming giant, the Switch, will still be talked about for a long time, but now they have Nintendo Labo! Look at it for yourself below!

Launching here in the states on April 20, as well as Australia and New Zealand, before making its way across Europe on April 27, the Labo as you can see is a build-it-yourself component to the Switch. Comprised of cardboard kits, you the player will be able to build your own creations that can connect to the Switch itself. Such as the piano shown above, and as a piano lover myself, I appreciate that a lot!

Also shown is a fishing reel, a house, and a steering wheel among many other things. It really is an exciting display of the already highly advanced gaming system.

The video displays how high the creativity of the player can go in terms of playing with the system. Set to release on April 20, 2018, Nintendo will release two separate kits on the day of release, a variety kit priced at $69.99 and a robot kit valued at $79.99, each including software for the Switch. A standardized kit will be available for $9.99.

The product is rated E for Everyone.

This truly makes Nintendo stands out among the competition in the video game market. They also have seemed to have their own little corner of it, but this truly will make them stand out aside from them all given most companies are so focused on virtual reality.

What’s your reaction to the Labo? Do you find it exciting, silly, or whatever comes to your mind? Sound off in the comments below!
