written by Matt "Chewy" Ruppert May 21, 2016

In preparation for the May 24th release date, Blizzard’s marketing team set out to create hype world-wide for their newest release Overwatch. Life-size Action Figures are popping up in different locations around the world including Hollywood, Paris, and Busan. At each location, fans are taken in by the realization of some of their favorite characters they got to play as in the beta. Blizzard kicked off the day yesterday with a Twitter post stating “AGENTS ACTIVATING:”.

The post listed different locations around the world as well as date’s and times agents would be activating. Fans who went out to view the activated agents were greeted with giant versions of Tracer, Genji, and Pharah. The figures were accompanied by all the typical things you would find when purchasing an action figures like weapons.

According to the packaging, “there is no physical or legal possibility to “play” with the giant figures” but hopefully soon fans will be able to purchase smaller versions soon enough! We here at Don’t Hate the Geek are excited for the release of Overwatch and can’t wait to play the game when released next Tuesday! What are your thoughts on the upcoming release out of Blizzard? If you got a chance to play the open beta, what are some of your favorite characters so far?
