Overwatch is the latest game to debut by Blizzard featuring an eclectic assortment of characters to play as in their new shooter that is set to release May 24th. With an open Beta that is still currently going on, Blizzard decided to give the millions of players enjoying the latest title an extra 24 hours to play their game before launch.
Overwatch has already been a wild success even before the game’s full release. With positive reviews on the beta, a comic series showing off the backstories of some fan favourite characters, and tons of buzz about the upcoming full release, the beta’s extension will only further the excitement come the end of May.
Via the official announcement from Blizzard, the beta is expected to come to a full stop on May 10th at 10:00 Pacific time. So head on over to Blizzard if you haven’t checked it out yet because this beta isn’t like the usual – this one showcases everything that will be in the full game once it’s released, which is fantastic for those a little hesitant to dip their toes into this particular title’s water.
Blizzard also made the announcement that even though ranked play doesn’t factor in during the beta nor initially at launch, it will implemented at some point in the future for the game.
