For those of you who are patiently waiting to play Injustice 2, it looks like you will get your chance. Thank to Gamestop, gamers will have the opportunity to play the game a few hours early.
AshKethun on Reddit reported that several Gamestop locations will push up their midnight releases. Instead, these locations will release the game at 8 or 9PM on May 15th. Others on Reddit have confirmed that locations in their areas are indeed releasing the game early. According the the thread, it looks like this is good only if you have a pre-order for the game. Even still, this is great news for fans of the game.
Injustice 2 picks up where the original game left off. Superman is still in prison for his crimes, but a new threat has emerged. Alliances have shifted and new fighters have entered the fray. There are also many new features in the game, including a character upgrade feature, which plays in the game’s tagline “Every battle defines you”. Along with the early release, pre-orders also come with access to Darkseid. Netherrealm Studios also announced the first DLC fighters; Starfire, Red Hood and Sub-Zero from the Mortal Kombat franchise. Injustice 2 releases on May 16th for those who did not pre-order.
Sounds off, geeks! Is anyone picking up Injustice 2 early?
