Sony is offering Demos for their new PlayStation VR headsets at 30 Gamestops and Bestbuys across the US. The demos will include SuperHyperCube, Headmaster, Battlezone, and more. In addition the number of retailers offering demos will increase to 300 throughout Canada and the US on June 24th! If you want to see if there will be a demo in your area you can click here.
PlayStation VR will be available throughout local retailers on October 13th, 2016 for the price of $399. While this price does not include the camera required to use the headset if you manage to snag the launch bundle it includes the VR, Camera, and two Move controllers for the price of $500.
The Headset also looks almost like something out of science fiction. Or even from a Vocaloid video. Maybe, they will make a Vocaloid VR Game where you could actually be Hatsune Miku singing along for your PS4 to pick up. The possibilities with this technology are endless.
The graphics you can see inside are amazing and Sony hopes that PlayStation VR will transport you into the world of your game. According to Sony, the device is designed for comfort in order to make it feel like it’s not there. Moreover, the sounds are supposed to immerse you into your game. Making you feel as though you are really there. Imagine the next Fallout or Elder Scrolls game via VR. You could really be your own protagonist!
According to Sony from the time of the VR launch until the end of this year there will be 50 games available for the VR system. We know that one of those 50 games will be Psychonauts. Will you go and try out the VR at your local Gamestop or BestBuy? Do you believe VR is the future of the gaming industry? Let us know in the comments!
