Pricing for Hearthstone’s expansion: Curse of Naxxramas announced

written by Shane "Geek" Lundberg July 10, 2014

Have you been playing Hearthstone? I have been enjoying it myself. Even more so once it released on iPad. Good news for those of you out there that said yes to my first question. Pricing has been announced for the newest expansion Curse of Naxxramas.

Looks like the expansion is going to be a dungeon…a card game dungeon. It should be launching this month on PC and iOS  with five wings in the collectible card game. Nice thing is you can buy them all separate or purchase them as a bundle. They will be opening up gradually as in the weeks after Curse of Naxxramas launches. Blizzard had this to say…

Naxxramas will open its gates one wing at a time, with a new wing opening each week. The wings of Naxxramas will open in the following order: Arachnid Quarter, Plague Quarter, Military Quarter, Construct Quarter, and Frostwyrm Lair.

Players who begin their adventures in Naxxramas during the launch event will gain free access to the first wing: the Arachnid Quarter. The launch event will last roughly a month or so, meaning you’ll have plenty of time to get your foot in the door—we’ll have more details to share about that later on. The web-choked corridors of the Arachnid Quarter are home to the bosses Anub’Rekhan, Grand Widow Faerlina, and Maexxna. Defeating these bosses will add new cards to your collection and give you a taste of the dangers that await you deeper inside Naxxramas.

So pricing is a little tricky but this will give you an idea…

If you use gold from in the game it will cost you 3,500 on all five wings. I wouldn’t go this way personally as you could use that for other arts of the game but instead just bite the bullet and use real money. First wing free and drop the $20 for the rest and all done. If you are playing let me know what you think and will you picking this up?
