On Sunday Rockstar Games updated their logo to a striking red and black. It was a color scheme gamers everywhere were all too familiar with. On Monday Rockstar continued their we-all-know-what’s-coming campaign and released an image depicting a sunset and seven silhouettes. Today, Rockstar has lifted the curtain so to speak, and finally told us what we knew was coming – Red Dead Redemption 2 is real.

One year, that is how much longer we’ll have to wait to wrangle up some bandits and fire our six shooters. But, we won’t have to wait so long to see what Rockstar has in store for us. This Thursday, October 20th, at 11AM EST, Rockstar Games will give us an early glimpse of Red Dead Redemption 2.
Along with the image, Rockstar Games also posted this little blurb about the next entry in the Marston Saga.
An epic tale of life in America’s unforgiving heartland, the game’s vast and atmospheric world will also provide the foundation for a brand new online multiplayer experience.
As was mentioned in Monday’s report on RDR 2, Rockstar does seem to intend on providing a similar experience to what’s in GTA Online with Red Dead Redemption 2‘s multiplayer.
So geeks, now that the cat is officially out of the bag, tickets for the hype train are on sale. The train will be taking off when the trailer releases October 20, 2016. You can already pre-order at the Red Dead Redemption 2 official site. It’s a little bare bones at the moment, but it’s there. As of the moment, RDR 2 is only listed for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Fall 2017 is as good a release date as we’ll get for the time being.
