Rockstar Confirms No New Games Until Mid-2017

Looks like when Rockstar told fans about their “exciting future projects soon”, they didn’t mean this year. Take-Two Interactive took center stage during an earnings call to confirm that there will not be a new Rockstar title this year.

Take-Two’s CEO Strauss Zelnick made this confirmation about the status of a possible release this fiscal year, which ends March 31st 2017. He confirmed that there is nothing on the roster until this fiscal year is done which means that we are looking at April 2017 the very earliest, but it sounds like that may be pushing it.

With E3 just around the corner, who knows what other bombs they will drop on us. Zelnick did hint that the company has some “big plans” for this year’s press conference, though no solid information is known at this time. It is┬árumored┬áthat a Red Dead Redemption sequel is more than possible as the next release, which would be amazing!
