We all knew the Samsung Galaxy S9 was inevitable, but when the tech giant would officially announce it was a mystery. Well, wonder no more as it has been leaked to the press that Samsung will soon reveal the Galaxy S9. The source of the leak, Samsung itself. Yeah, seriously.
Intended to be announced at MCW for this year, Samsung accidentally uploaded the launch video for their new smartphone to their YouTube page. While it was quickly taken down, Slashleaks was able to save and re-upload it, so you can take a look at it for yourself here!
Of course, in addition, we are getting the Galaxy S9+ too.
The phone doesn’t look too different from the previous version, but hopefully, it won’t suddenly explode and catch fire like the S7 did. There have been several leaks about the S9, but this is by far the hugest one since it reveals the actual phone itself!
Worth noting from the video is the integration of the DeX Pad that, shock of shocks, was leaked weeks ago. I’m actually really fascinated by this concept to turn one’s phone into a do it all device/touchpad. Water resistance is, of course, one of the biggest selling points, app pairing software, the camera obviously, and facial recognition are some of the key features to what is gonna be a thorn in Apple’s side soon when it comes to smartphones.
Samsung looks to be providing a worthwhile alternative to the iPhone and hopefully, they can get the holes in their company plugged up, because man, that is just plain embarrassing for this to happen again and again.
