We are so close to one of the biggest annual gaming events of the year, E3 2016, we can taste it. Gaming software company, Square Enix has jumped the gun a little and released a trailer for the upcoming Japanese Role Playing Game (JRPG), I Am Setsuna.
The trailer shows that this JRPG goes back to Square’s 90’s turn based roots. The game was actually developed by a new studio, Tokyo RPG Factory. The studio was created specifically for I Am Setsuna. The gameplay style is very reminiscent of classic RPG’s such as older Final Fantasy titles and the infamous Chrono Trigger, but with a modern twist on graphics. This title is also said to have plenty of dungeons to explore and several companions to join your quest.
I am Setsuna has already released in Japan on PS4 and Vita systems and is slated for a July 19, 2016 release in the US for Windows PC and PS4 at a price point of $39.99. Square Enix may have jumped the gun on releasing this trailer, but don’t worry, they still have plenty to showcase at this year’s E3 conference, which you can check out here.
