EA and Maxis, the creators of the wildly popular game franchise The Sims, are reaching new heights in custom character creation. The Sims 4 offered a free update this week that allows players to break any gender restriction chains that may have held them back from creating characters that they identified with.Their website had this to say;
“For the first time, you’ll be able to customize your Sims without the gender boundaries previously set in place. This means you can now create Sims with any type of physique, walk style, and tone of voice you choose – regardless of their gender. We’ve also made clothing, hair, jewelry, and other visual options available to all Sims. Over 700 pieces of content previously only available to either male or female Sims, have now been made available to all Sims regardless of initial gender selection.”
Create-A-Sim will be filled with seemingly endless options now for players to fulfill their dreams for the ideal Sim experience. Having the ability to create a Sim who truly represents you or who you wish to be is pretty exciting. The website offered a few images and even a quick video clip to help show some examples of the character customization available to you now. Check out the video below.
This update is just in time for their new expansion that is dropping next week called “Dine Out” which will allow you and your Sims to create and manage custom built restaurants, and have the dining out experience! You can read more about that expansion here. If you’re an avid player of The Sims 4 like I am, I’d be curious to see some of the custom Sims you create. Feel free to post your Sims on our Facebook wall for us to check out!
