Some graphic art is bouncing around the web that may or may not be our first look at the Solo: A Star Wars Story movie that Disney will release mid-2018. This is an odd toss-up, folks – as there appears to be some semantics surrounding how official these images are and the first anticipated look at our new Han Solo actually looking this cool.

/Film had this to say after confirming with Disney and Lucasfilm if the images were released by them, or if the images could be taken as official standards for how Han Solo, Lando Calrissian, and Emilia Clarke’s character, Kira, will look:
Although Disney says this art did not come from them or Lucasfilm, it looks more polished than typical fan art, especially since it includes elements (like a modified Millennium Falcon) that we have never seen before. It is entirely possible that this was art created for a local film market, utilizing official elements. It is also possible that this is art created by a licensee outside of Disney.
These are very murky and speculatory waters we are in regarding some solid imagery standards to go by for the Han Solo film. As already stated, the images actually could be the official “look” we are going to get. Look at how close we are to its release date and yet we haven’t gotten much of a tease at the film at all. All we have really gotten is news, casting updates, and a surprise director swap. What’s going on, Disney?
I have to agree with the educated speculations here. It makes sense entirely that images are getting out from the meager confines of marketing campaign secrecy.
Solo: A Star Wars Story is set to release May 25, 2018.
