After being announced last year at E3, this year’s UbiSoft conference at the show debuted the trailer for the much awaited sequel to South Park: The Stick of Truth, The Fractured but Whole is finally here! Take a look!
This time around the game will focus on the children of South Park and their superhero identities. Pretty good timing with all the superhero fare we have on both the big and small screens today and no doubt a joy to fans of episodes that featured Cartman’s The Coon. Particularly the trilogy of episodes featuring The Coon and all other South Park superheroes back in season 14.
UbiSoft San Francisco is taking full control with the foul mouthed children this time around after Obsidian developed The Stick of Truth last time.
Players will once again take on the role of the “new kid” from before in this direct sequel that is a huge send up of the recently released Captain America: Civil War and of course have that timely satire edge to it with it touching upon the state of modern superhero film franchises. The Marvel Cinematic Universe being a huge target itself as seen in the trailer.
P.C. Principal from the most recent season is tagging along for the ride and Kayne West might also be likely due to the additional announcement of a “gay fish” character sending players on a quest to heaven. One can only hope that Cthulhu makes a return.
Turn-based combat is staying in, but now on takes place a tile-based battleground. They are really putting all the bells and whistles on to this one.

South Park: The Fractured but Whole will be released on December 6 for PlayStation 4, XBox One, and PC.
