There is a lot of speculation swirling out in the world right now because of a little tweet made by NBA superstar LeBron James. Rather than speculate up front, I’ll show you the tweet to let you all decide first.

Warner Bros. has also announced that they are going to partner up with James’ company, Springhill Entertainment, detailing a deal for television, film, and other digital content projects.
“LeBron James has one of the most powerful, well-known brands in the world and we are excited to be in business with him and his partner, Maverick Carter, and SpringHill Entertainment,” said Warner Bros. chairman Kevin Tsujihara in a statement. “The combination of LeBron’s global media presence and Warner Bros.’ unmatched production and distribution expertise is a big win for fans everywhere.”
So what could this mean? Maybe it’s nothing. Maybe it just means we are going to see a more creative side of LeBron James (not to say his proven athleticism isn’t creative). OR… maybe… maybe this means something I (and I hope all of you) have been waiting for. After waiting, patiently, for 19 years, could we finally be getting Space Jam 2!? Possibly. Possibly not. There is one other key piece to this story that could be completely unrelated, or could be the lynchpin to this whole thing.

Warner Bros. has filed a new FRAKING trademark for Space Jam! FRAKING SPACE JAM! Why in the world would they do that, after all this time, if not to use it. Throwing in the news of them partnering up with LeBron James, a man some would call the Michael Jordan of our day, and that makes Space Jam 2 a viable theory in our near future!
All up to you until any formal announcement is made, of course. But, if true, this will be some of the best movie news I’ve heard of since Batman v Superman was first announced, and that has to make me smile if only for a moment.
