In a move that makes me equal parts giddy and impressed, Marvel Studios released a featurette titled Warriors of Wakanda for its upcoming release, Black Panther.

Warriors of Wakanda is nothing but pure #BlackGirlMagic.

So, don’t start none, won’t be none.

I’m not usually a big fan of trailers these days. They tend to give away the whole game, imply a vastly different story-line than end up being the final cut or have a completely different pace than the film’s final cut. I reached the tipping point this past year and avoided disappointment for the latter half of the year. It really did keep my stabbing-tendencies under control (mostly).

But whoever is in charge of trailer cuts for Black Panther clearly loves their job. It’s also clear they don’t want a mob of people hunting them down ready to cut a bitch for spoiling what’s shaping up to be a huge moneymaker for the studio.

I don’t know how you and your crew roll out but, me and mine are most definitely taking cues from the glorious badasses guarding the throne.

Don’t take my word for it. Peep this:

I now want to be a Warrior of Wakanda when I grow up. In case you were in doubt (how I don’t know), the Revolution will most assuredly be televised. See you at the cookout on February 16, 2018. My mama’s got the potato salad covered, trust.

Black Panther stars Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Martin Freeman, Daniel Kaluuya, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, with Angela Bassett, with Forest Whitaker, and Andy Serkis.
