A long time ago on an island far far away filming is under way for Star Wars Episode VIII. Over the weekend, cast and crew from the holy sci-fi saga arrived at Malin Head in Ireland to film on location. This gorgeous island is the same one we saw at the end of The Force Awakens. According to BBC, actors from the film were photographed at the local airport while departing their flights.
Star Wars fans have been visiting the Irish isle ever since they found out it was used in episode VIII. Some lucky fans just so happened to be in the right place at the right time. Twitter user @sammymcguinn just so happened to catch a drive by video of Daisy Ridley in full Rey garb.

Another twitter user, @Wildatlanticgif, claims to have seen the infamous Wookiee, Chewbacca.
Set construction started a while back and Irish Mirror got some photos of the most recognizable ship in the galaxy, The Millennium Falcon.
The island has become so infamous among Star Wars fans that super fan John Joe McGettigan took the opportunity to don his Storm Trooper costume to take a photo near the island.
We will have to wait until December 2017 to see Episode VIII, but make sure you don’t miss Rogue One this December 16th.
Is the force flowing through you as more photos surface? Let us know and if you have any photos of the set, we’d love to see them!
