Which Side Are You On?

Which Side Are You On?

Not in a galaxy far, far away….all of the nerdy makeup gurus out there can rejoice! (cue the Star Wars theme song) CoverGirl has created a Star Wars Makeup Collection (Limited Edition) complete with the Light Side and the Dark Side! Just in time for you to get your looks prepped for The Force Awakens!

Four products are at the core of this Star Wars makeup collection: waterproof mascara, and regular mascara, nail polish, and lipstick.

You may be thinking, so what? Did they just put the name Star Wars on a tube of mascara and call it a day? Not exactly.

Each tube of Super Sizer Mascara has 10 limited edition formats. The only complaint I have about that is the Dark Side is regular mascara only and the Light Side is Waterproof only. I suppose they think that being on the Dark Side you will not have any feelings and will never cry. However, they fail to realize the Dark Side has feelings too-If Darth Vader pops up again I’m sure to shed a tear or two.

Each tube that may contain any one of the five following quotes:

For the Dark Side:

I will finish what you started.

There has been an awakening.

Indeed, you are powerful.

You will meet your destiny.

For the Light Side:

May the Force be with you

Do. Or do not try. There is no try.

You’re my only hope.

I feel the good in you.

Luminous beings are we.

As for the nail polish, it does have the Star Wars name on it and they called it a new name for the colors. (Bummer, I know). Three shades are limited edition and are only available in stores. I have not used Covergirl Outlast Nail Polish before, but it is supposed to be chip resistant. If you have the patience to put on nail polish that is related to the various Light Side or Dark Side looks then definitely go check these out in the stores!

The Colorlicious Lipsticks have three Light Side shades and three Dark Side shades to help you polish off the look you want whether or not you wanna be a Jedi or a Sith supporter. Or if you’re really daring you can be both and pull a Queen Amidala lip coloring with two colors.

CoverGirl did do some very artistic from a galaxy far, far away looks to promote this line. However, the downside is they never put together any eye shadow quads with directions for anyone. However, if you have a variety of the following shades you can easily copy it from the images: black, gold, red, purple, green, blue, brown and copper.

Everything from the CoverGirl Star Wars Makeup Collection is available here– except the nail polish.
