The battleline between good and evil runs through the heart of every man (or psychotic sexy clown lady).
According to Geoff Johns, DC Comics co-publisher and movie producer, we can expect to see a Suicide Squad video game in the near future.
“We’re working on Suicide Squad; it’s in development right now,” Johns says in an interview with Kotaku. “I’m really super excited about it. Because of the concept, you have a game where any of the lead characters can conceivably die and it’s not a stunt. Some really cool story could come out of that.”
It’s not clear as of yet whether the game will be more in line with the upcoming Suicide Squad movie or with the comics of the same name. The movie, slated for August 2016, will star a large cast of DC villains filling the roles of reluctant antiheroes by being forced into a government program that will have them performing services as perfectly expendable resources. Among others, the cast includes Will Smith (Men in Black, Independence Day) as the hit man known as Deadshot / Flloyd Lawton, and Margot Robbie (Pan Am, The Wolf of Wall Street) as the psychiatrist turned psychotic known as Harley Quinn.
If you haven’t seen it yet, the trailer for the movie is below, having been officially released following numerous leaks from Comic Con’s exclusive presentation to attendees at Hall H. What do you think? Are you excited for the game? The movie? Neither? Let us know in the comments!
