Hand reaching towards Mars

Remember the olden days when someone mentioned T-Mobile, and everybody thought of the cute T-Mobile girl in sundresses? Well put ’em in your scrapbooks folks, cause those days are long gone. The brand new hype is the sundress-less CEO of T-Mobile, John Legere, offering a round trip ticket to the next frontier – Mars.

Before you get too excited, here’s the catch: before he goes handing out $200 thousand trips to other planets, Legere wants us to get him to one million retweets by October 11th.

Tweet from John Legere about Mars Trip

This whole sweepstakes idea of his was sparked when Elon Musk, CEO of SpaceX, announced his plan to colonize mars by making the trip more affordable to individuals. So far, his goal is to make the trip around $200 thousand – as opposed to the current estimate of $10 billion. Unfortunately, this is a long term goal with the estimate time frame of 10+ years. This means that the winner may have to wait just a quick second before they can redeem their golden ticket.

Pyramid of prizes:

Just in case the red planet is too out of reach time wise, John provides a list of other enticing offers:

  • 10,0000–49,999 Retweets = $800 in airline credit for a trip anywhere in the United States
  • 50,0000–99,999 Retweets = One Leather Novus Zero Gravity Recliner (worth about $2 thousand)
  • 100,000–999,999 Retweets = An experience in zero gravity (worth about $5.5 thousand)
  • 1,000,000 = $200 thousand (If Mars is not possible or desired by the winner.)

Two days in, and we are already at 12 thousand retweets! So even if 1 million isn’t reached, at least someone will win a very nice trip to where ever they want!

How to enter:

All you need to do to enter is be a legal resident of the United States, 18 years old, and simply hit the retweet button specified by him. (Click here to be instantly teleported to the tweet)

Good luck, and may the odds be ever in your favor!
