Comic Crossovers have always been a big deal, so when the TV shows started doing it people were ecstatic. To see the Flash and Arrow on the same screen at the same time was awesome, we all loved it. It was just like the comics, they each have their own hero career, but for a brief moment they team up to fight a villain before returning to their respective lives. Those were the comics I bought as a kid, two heroes for the price of one.
We still itch for some of the crossovers that we haven’t seen. We want to see Agents of Shield mix with Arrow; or how about we go for a trifecta and get the Flash in there as well.
Back in November we were teased with a potential for a crossover between Supergirl and Flash or Arrow. The December 5th issue of Entertainment Weekly we were given a tease “ … Berlanti says it’s possible this Supergirl could enter the worlds of Arrow and The Flash.” Even though they were on different stations, they were still sister stations and under the same producer, so we rejoiced, because it was possible.
Unfortunately it doesn’t look like it is going to happen. A crossover between CBS’s upcoming Supergirl series and Arrow or The Flash will not be happening. When asked about a possible inter-network deal CBS Entertainment chairman, Nina Tassler stated “ That’s a different network so I think we’re going to keep Supergirl to ourself right now.”
