The build up to The Dark Knight Rises hailed it as an epic that could possibly dethrone The Avengers as this years top film, as well as this years top comicbook-to-film adaptation. The Dark Knight must return from his reclusive life in the halls of Wayne Manor to face an enemy that outdoes him in terms of both strength and intelligence- Bane. Batman must stop Bane from raising the city of Gotham while fighting his inner demons that have plagued him as well as dealing with his dark past, which has finally caught up with him. Another day, more Dark Knight Rises footage! [VIDEO]

Not sure if Warner Bros should release any more clips from The Dark Knight Rises, heads are eventually going to pop before the movie’s July 20th release. We know Nolan is ending the trilogy with a massive bang but they need people alive and coherent enough to watch the final release (and buy those tickets)!
The recent trailer is labeled as an “Exclusive Nokia Trailer” however it doesn’t really matter because it’s 2:17 minutes of bone breaking awesome! Watch the clip but if you haven’t been paying attention or don’t know much of the Bane\Batman dynamic from the comics, you may find some spoilerish elements. Most of you geeks won’t be surprised but just on the safe side, you’ve been warned.

“Do you think he’s coming back?” “I don’t know.”
Odd to hear those words and know they’re being spoken about the Dark Knight. One thing we always could count on was him being there, in the shadows, waiting to serve justice and knock the teeth out of some filthy low-life. But after the events of The Dark Knight, it’s a different Gotham. A Gotham in need of its guardian. And no one knows if he’ll come to their aid this time.
The newest trailer for The Dark Knight Rises sets the mood perfectly for this summer’s trilogy ender. Gotham may not have been this down in many, many years and Bane is here to finish it off. He has business to take care of with Batman and it won’t be over until he’s broken Bruce Wayne. The whole atmosphere of the trailer delivers serious chills as viewers can watch the mayhem start to unfold. The desperation is visible not just in the ordinary citizens’ eyes but also those of the heroes. It’s almost heart breaking to watch.

I’m sure I’m not the only one who cannot wait for The Dark Knight Rises. With the epic trailer and the crazy conspiracies that are flying around the web, this film has a lot to live up to. But in the mean time let us bask in the glory of these new images courtesy of Entertainment Weekly who have released their “2012 Forecast Issue” in which they preview 43 of this years biggest films, including The Avengers, The Hunger Games, The Hobbit and so on. Anyway, role on the Batman!
