All Rise for the new Dark Knight Rises posters
Last Updated on Monday, 28 May 2012 02:59 Written by JCWaitWat Wednesday, 23 May 2012 01:48
Anticipation has been building steadily ever since the first mention of Christopher Nolan‘s trilogy closer and now, to further the pain of waiting for the June release date, a new batch of promotional posters have been released. The posters show off the three primary characters of the Dark Knight Rises, with one batch set against a background with a colour scheme reminiscent of the original trailer. If this is not enough to get you excited for the Dark Knight’s return more information has been revealed Joseph Gordon Levitt’s character. There was original speculation that he may be Dick Grayson but it has been revealed that he will in fact be playing Alberto Falcone.
Falcone? You read that right! The name sound familiar because Joseph Gordon Levitt’s character is the son of Carmin Falcone, the mobster who was chained to the spotlight in Batman Begins. Could we see a vengeful son out for revenge against Batman? We can only speculate as Christopher Nolan has kept any plot details very under wraps.
Hit the jump for the poster in all their glory!

X-Men: First Class sequel on the way
Last Updated on Thursday, 10 November 2011 12:13 Written by JCWaitWat Thursday, 10 November 2011 09:00
X-Men: First Class made a considerable $350 million when it opened earlier this year. However it has become known that Simon Kinberg is in the process of scripting the sequel to the popular Marvel franchise. Kinberg was the producer for First Class, as well as contributing to other films like Sherlock Holmes and Jumper. However not all fans are happy about this news as Kinberg was a writer on X-Men: Last Stand, a less than successful film.
According to the director of this sequel, Matthew Vaughn, the new film will be “even more fun”. Vaughn compared it to Batman Begins saying that “you have the fun of introducing the characters and getting to know them”, hopefully it’s as good as Batman Begins. He went onto say that this process takes time. Let’s just hope for the sake of the reputation of actors like James McAvoy, who is set to continue playing the role of Professor X, that they spend enough time on it and produce a film worthy of its heritage.

Geek Blu Review: X-Men: First Class [VIDEO]

For just over a decade now, we geeks have been living in a golden age of comic book movies. Starting with the first X-Men movie and steamrolling through Spider-Man, Iron Man, Batman Begins, Captain America, Thor, The Dark Knight and further with the upcoming Avengers movie. For the most part, these movies have shown us how new technology and a big budget can bring to life the four-color adventures we so cherish. While not every movie will be considered great (Daredevil), each movie has brought out the geek in all of us.
When X-Men: First Class was revealed as a prequel, I was disturbed. My opinion on prequels notwithstanding, I wanted more of the future of the X-Men! But we don’t always get what we want, right? Since I most identify with these Children of the Atom and their plight of being outcasts, I was still very much ready to see the beginning of the X-Men and Charles Xavier’s School for the Gifted. Exploring the dynamic between Xavier and Lensherr and the split that would forever make them enemies. The creation of the X-Men and the Brotherhood. Xavier going from an upright walking individual to wheelchair bound professor. All of these would be seen and more. Read on to find out my geek opinion about the Blu ray release.
