Beta sign ups are live for The Elder Scrolls Online! [VIDEO]

Bethesda has finally set up beta sign ups for their massive MMO, Elder Scrolls Online. The first fully online game in the Elder Scrolls franchise, the MMO is set to steal fans’ time like no other. Join one of three alliances in a bid to take over the empire and clinch your bid for power. Beta testers will get early access to the large scale world and play test many of the features not quite ready for prime time. No exact date has been given for when the beta kick starts so make sure to sign up now!

Sony Steps In To Help Bethesda With Dawnguard

Skyrim has had a rocky relationship with PS3 users from its initial buggy release on Sony’s system. A few patches later and things were seemingly getting better between Bethesda and PS3 Skyrim fans. In a bad move Bethesda decided to give Microsoft a timed exclusive on all Skyrim DLC further complicating Bethesda/PS3 user relations.  Skyrim’s first DLC Dawnguard was released to Xbox Live in June and then PC in August with no indication of when it would hit the PSN. Bethesda initially took to the silent treatment when asked about Dawnguard coming to the PS3 before admitting there was a problem converting Dawnguard to Sony’s PS3.

The Case Of Skyrim’s Missing Dawnguard DLC For PS3

As a multi platform gamer often I’m faced with the dilemma of deciding which console I buy a game for. It used to be that I bought everything for Playstation that wasn’t a Microsoft exclusive because I’m a borderline Sony fangirl. Recently I’ve reconsidered this and have managed to come up with a nice balance of purchases between PS3 and 360. One game I’m particularly glad I went 360 was Skyrim. First off the PS3 version was so riddled with bugs it was almost unplayable in its early release days. I do not know this from personal experience but from internet ramblings and more reliably my reasonable friend who traded his copy before a patch was released because he grew so frustrated with it.

QuakeCon pics part 1: Doom 3 BFG Edition.

Fresh from QuakeCon 2012 comes a new batch of screenshots for Bethesda and id’s upcoming remastered super shooter Doom 3 BFG Edition.  We all know how awesome Doom 3 was for the last generation of consoles and if we can’t get Doom 4, a fully featured Doom 3 will just have to do! In case you geeks forgot, the BFG Edition gives us not only the remastered Doom 3 but the Resurrection of Evil expansion pack in remastered love. Plus Doom and Doom 2 come along to frighten us. The ultimate Doom lover’s dream package!

The BFG Edition is scheduled to hit this fall for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. Hit the break and peeps the new pics, makes me wish it was the witching season!
